29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:    JOB SITE: 350 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122, on or about 10/20/2014, at this new commercial construction site, sheet metal workers were actively installing sheet metal roof, with a fall distance of approximately 18' 9" eave to ground level, and were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  The workers were exposed to a fall hazard.    The SHEET METAL CONTRACTORS, INC. (SMCI) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(B)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315172635, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 1/16/2011, and was affirmed as a final order on 3/14/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 10478 Missouri Hwy 21, Hillsboro, MO 63050.
