Employers shall select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes:  On or about October 23, 2014, in the facility, employees required to perform silkscreen printing were exposed to skin contact/absorption with harmful substances including, but not limited to, methylene chloride. 29 CFR 1910.1052(k)(1)(iii): Employers shall include methylene chloride in the hazard communication program (Section 1910.1200). Employers shall ensure that each employee has access to labels on containers of methylene chloride and to safety data sheets, and is trained in accordance with the requirements of the hazard communication program and paragraph (l) of this section:    On or about October 23, 2014, in the facility, employees required to perform silkscreen printing were exposed to the hazard of contact with methylene chloride.  The employer did not develop and implement a written hazard communication program (Section 1910.1200); did not ensure that each employee had access to labels on containers of methylene chloride and to safety data sheets; did not train employees in accordance with the requirements of the hazard communication program and paragraph (l) of this section.
