OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:   A.)  PMP LLC dba Metal Powder Products Company - On or about 10/22/14, Employees were exposed to struck by hazards from lifting devices not being load rated and/or marked with load capacity.  Drum latches used to lift drums weighing 600 pounds with hoists were not load tested and/or marked with lifting capacity.

PMP LLC, dba Metal Powder Products Company - On or about 10/22/14, employees were utilizing household type fans for activities including but not limited to, drying oil off of parts.  The fans were not designed for use in industrial environments.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards, based on the mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided:  A.)  PMP, LLC dba Metal Powder Products Company/back press department  - The covers for the receptacle outlet boxes installed in the presses were missing and/or had been removed.  The condition allowed for the receptacle outlets to be exposed to oil from the presses.

29 CFR 1910.334(a)(1): Flexible electric cords were otherwise hung in such a fashion as could damage the outer jacket or insulation:    A,)  PMP LLC dba Metal Powder Products Inc. - On or about 10/22/14, extension cords were being wrapped around the metal stand of a conveying machine.  The cord was being used to power the conveying equipment.
