29 CFR 1910.178(a)(4) as required by 1960.8(b): Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation of powered industrial truck were performed by the employer without the manufacturer's prior written approval:   Fort Custer National Cemetery, in the Facilities maintenance shop, a Komatsu forklift, Model FD20T-12, S/N 5564391A had modification which affected the capacity and safe operation of the forklift.  The forklift modification allows for a trailer hitch ball to be affixed to the tip of a fork tine which was used to move a move a box trailer and lowboy trailer to and from the automotive shop.
