29 CFR 1910.1001(j)(3)(i): Building and facility owner(s) did not determine the presence, location, and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) and/or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) at the work site. Employer(s) and building and facility owner(s) did not exercise due diligence in complying with these requirements to inform employer(s) and employee(s) about the presence and location of ACM and PACM. At the jobsite at 220 West Broad Street-Athens, GA: The building owner did not conduct a survey of the presence, location, and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) and/or did not inform employees about the presence of ACM or PACM prior to contractors being assigned to work in the building. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
