29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe-boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) At St. Patrick Church Robertsdale, Alabama: On or about December 2, 2014 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure employees involved in roofing activities on a high slope roof were using fall protection exposing them to a fall hazrd of 8.8 feet to the ground below.
