Employees engaged in residential roofing activities are not protected from falling, thereby exposing employees to an 18.2 foot fall hazard from eave to grade. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed onto a roof more than six feet above lower levels without adequate fall protection. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that its employees are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed to access a roof using a ladder that is not extended at least three (3) feet above the upper landing surface.
