29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicated that any employee's exposure equaled or exceed the 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not develop and implement a monitoring program: Representative full shift noise monitoring was not conducted for the employees with the following exposures: a) Production area - A pallet dismantling saw operator was exposed to continuous noise levels in excess of the allowable 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (Permissible Level). The employees dosimeter dBA level was 337% of the permissible level (90 dBA) and was equivalent to approximately 98.8 dBA. The sampling was performed for 445 minutes during one shift on 12/30/14. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time. b) Production area - A chop saw operator was exposed to continuous noise levels in excess of the allowable 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (Permissible Level). The employees dosimeter dBA level was 196.4% of the permissible level (90 dBA) and was equivalent to approximately 94.9 dBA. The sampling was performed for 440 minutes during one shift on 12/30/14. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time. c) Production area - A nailer was exposed to continuous noise levels in excess of the allowable 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (Permissible Level). The employees dosimeter dBA level was 159.1% of the permissible level (90 dBA) and was equivalent to approximately 93.3 dBA. The sampling was performed for 437 minutes during one shift on 12/30/14. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time. d) Production area - A nailer was exposed to continuous noise levels in excess of the allowable 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (Permissible Level). The employees dosimeter dBA level was 134.4% of the permissible level (90 dBA) and was equivalent to approximately 92.1 dBA. The sampling was performed for 440 minutes during one shift on 12/30/14. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time. e) Production area - A nailer was exposed to continuous noise levels in excess of the allowable 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (Action Level). The employees dosimeter dBA level was 81.8% of the permissible level (90 dBA) and was equivalent to approximately 86.7 dBA. The sampling was performed for 437 minutes during one shift on 12/30/14. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time.
