29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Where exposure monitoring was required under 29 CFR 1926.1101, the employer did not perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were or potentially were exposed:  A.) On or about Monday, December 1, 2014 97-05 & 97-07 Horace Harding Expressway, Corona, NY 11368 (Basement)  The employer failed to perform initial employee exposure monitoring within an construction demolition area in which employees were required to remove presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) such as pipe insulation and an existing plaster/blast ceiling.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1101(g)(1)(i): The employer did not use engineering controls and work practices in all operations covered by 29 CFR 1926.1101, regardless of the levels of exposure, in the form of vacuum cleaners equipped with high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters to collect all debris and dust containing asbestos containing material and presumed asbestos containing material:  A.) On or about Monday, December 1, 2014 at 97-05 & 97-07 Horace Harding Expressway, Corona, NY 11368 (Basement)  During the demolition of an existing plaster/blast ceiling with containing possible asbestos containing material (i.e. pipe insulation) the employer failed to use vacuum cleaners equipped with HEPA filters to safely collect generated debris and dust.    ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED

On or about Monday, December 1, 2014 at 97-05 & 97-07 Horace Harding Expressway, Corona, NY 11368 (Basement)       In an area in which presumed asbestos containing materials (i.e. existing plaster/blast ceiling) were to be removed/demolished the employer failed to use a wet process exposing employees to asbestos fibers.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED
