29 CFR 1910.184(i)(1): Synthetic web sling(s) were not marked or coded to show rated capacities for each type of hitch and type of synthetic web material.    On or about December 11, 2014 and at times prior thereto, employees were in use of synthetic web slings that were not marked to show rated capacities, exposing employees to struck by, crushed by hazards. Serious harm from the unknown weight rated straps and slings used to move large heavy steel for production work was located in the main bay of shop near the foreman's office.

On or about December 11, 2014 and at times prior to employees were exposed to struck by, crushed by hazards causing serious harm from unsafe use of damaged deteriorated straps and slings used to move large heavy steel for production work located in the main bay of shop near foreman's office.

29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o).    On or about December 11, 2014 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure the in-going nip points of moving parts on the pulley of an air compressor were guarded exposing employees to caught-in hazards. The employees were exposed to struck by, caught in and pinch point hazards resulting in serious harm from unguarded moving parts of air compressor machine located near the break area and the main electrical control panel wall located just outside of the main office area.
