The equipment was listed for household use and instructions directed it be plugged directly into a wall outlet.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws:   Normandy Drive, Bldg 4-2843: Two extension cords plugged into two Reddy Heater120 Vac/60, 110,000 BTU/HR, 9.0 fuel tank capacity were damaged exposing employees to live wires.  Strain relief was pulled away from the terminal end connection.
