29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On the NW side of the roof of building located at #17 7th Street, Verplanck, NY   On or about 01/05/2015, employees performing roofing work were not protected from a 30-ft. fall as they were walking/working on a flat portion of the roof approximately 3 feet wide, surrounded by a steep roof on one side and a 1.5-ft. high parapet on the other.
