29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(C): Disposal of all regulated waste was not in accordance with applicable regulations of the United States, a State, a Territory, or a political subdivision of a State or Territory: a) The Facility - The employer permanently disposes contaminated sharps by placing them in plaster. After hardened, the plaster containing used sharps is placed in with the general waste. This procedure is in violation of Rules of Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division, Chapter 391-3-4, Solid Waste Management, specifically 391-3-4.15 Biomedical Waste-Amended, Section (4)(b)(2) and (5)(a).
