29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): The spraying operations was not designed, installed or maintained that the average air velocity over the open face of the booth (or booth cross section during spraying operations) shall be not less than 100 linear feet per minute.  a)Spray Paint booth: On or about January 16, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards by permitting the face air velocity and cross sectional average air velocity of the spray paint booth to be less than 100ft/min while an employee performed painting operations.

29 CFR 1910.107(g)(7): No smoking signs in large letters on contrasting color background were not conspicuously  posted at all spraying areas.  a)Spray Paint booth: On or about January 16, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards by failing to post no smoking signs in large letters on contrasting color background conspicuously at the spraying area.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a) Spray painting area: On and about January 16, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer failed to provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment. Employees used different types of paints which contained chemicals which included but not limited to butyl acetate, xylene, and ethyl benzene.
