29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    Location: 321 W. 35th St., New York, NY.    On or about 2/11/15;    c) An employee installing telecommunication cabling was not protected from fall hazards as he utilized an A frame ladder immediately adjacent to the guardrail system protecting an elevator shaft opening.  The employee used the ladder at a height greater than the top of the guardrail potentially exposing him to a fall of up to 6 stories to the floor below.
