29 CFR 1910.177(f): The employer did not establish a safe operating procedure for servicing multi-piece rim wheels which contained, at a minimum, the elements listed in 29 CFR 1910.177(f)(1) through (11): The employer failed to establish safe operating procedures for servicing multi-piece rim wheels which contained, at a minimum, procedures for: 1. Deflation of tires before dismounting. 2. Rubber lubricant application. 3. Inflating tires on a vehicle, outside of a restraining device, and the use of restraining devices. 4. Inspections after inflation. 5. Methods to correct seating of side and locking rings. 6. Prohibition for reworking damaged rim components. 7. Employee positions when handling multi-piece wheel rims. 8. Prohibition for applying heat to multi-piece wheel components.
