On or about April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that the District Ranger Potentially exposed employees to serious injury because they did not ensure that employees wore the appropriate hand protection when using Envirotex Lite Polymer Coating to cover tables.

29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye and face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: (a) Fire Warehouse at Prairie City Ranger District. On or about April 8, 2015 the inspection revealed that the District Ranger potentially exposed employees to serious injury because they did not ensure that employees wore the appropriate face protection when using Envirotex Lite Polymer Coating to cover tables. The Forest Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 978142, notice number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 23, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at the Bend Pine Administration Site in Oregon.

Two chemicals for which there were not Safety Data Sheets at the time of the inspection were the Envirotex Lite 1 to 1 Polymer Coating Hardener and the Envirotex Lite 1 to 1 Polymer Coating Resin.
