29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers.  a. On or about April 27, 2015, at the above addressed jobsite, an inspection was not conducted by a competent person capable of correcting hazards such as falls, which could result in employee injuries.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502:  a. On or about April 15, 2015, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations approximately sixteen (16) feet seven (7) inches above the ground were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  CHRIS ABBOTT ROOFING WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1014748, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON APRIL 09, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 15745 DREXEL AVE. DOLTON, IL.
