Condition observed on or about 04/27/15.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided:  a- 1014 Ocean Avenue, Mantoloking NJ: Employees, not supplied with any fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 9 feet to the ground surface below when performing floor joist installation and other related activities at and around unprotected edges of the first floor of an unfinished residential structure.  Condition observed on or about 04/27/15.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a- 1014 Ocean Avenue, Mantoloking NJ: Employees, not supplied with any fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 9 feet to the ground surface below when performing floor joist installation and other related activities at and around unprotected edges of the first floor of an unfinished residential structure.  These employees had not received fall protection training from the company.  Condition observed on or about 04/27/15.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
