29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1): Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures was endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing or underpinning was not provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees:   (a)  Watergate Hotel, Plaza - On or about 05/01/2015, a 7 foot high spoils pile resulting from a wall excavation operation were stored upon the ceiling of an underground parking garage and no support systems, including, but not limited to, shoring, back propping or similar means, were provided to prevent the overloading and catastrophic collapse of the garage ceiling.   No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
