29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.   a) Worksite, AMC Theatre, Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City NY - Employees were removing roofing and insulation materials from a flat commercial roof, approximately 40ft above the ground.  A demolition plan was not created to determine the structural stability of the water damaged roof; on or about 6/19/15.       Note:  In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
