29 CFR 1910.1048(n)(3)(i): The training program for all employees exposed to formaldehyde did not include a discussion of the contents of this formaldehyde regulation and/or the contents of the Material Safety Data Sheet: At the inspection site, where there was potential for exposure to formaldehyde at or above 0.1 parts per million (ppm) during Brazilian Blowout treatment, the training program did not include a discussion of the contents of this formaldehyde regulation and the contents of the Material Safety Data Sheet for Brazilian Blowout Acai Professional Smoothing Solution, exposing employees to the contact and inhalation hazards of formaldehyde, an IARC Group I carcinogen. Note: A short-term exposure limit (STEL) of 0.1497 ppm formaldehyde was measured during the blow drying phase of a Brazilian Blowout treatment on July 7, 2015.
