29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury:    (a)  On or about 7/7/15 - Calera GSM located at 300 Hwy 22, Calera, AL, employee(s) were not provided instruction and training about the hazards of heat exposure and their prevention.  Training should include a discussion of acclimatization, physiological monitoring, potable water and hydration, and emergency actions to take when employees are exhibiting signs and symptoms of heat-related illness.

29 CFR 1926.51(a)(1): An adequate supply of potable water was not provided in all places of employment:    (a)  On or about 7/7/15 - Calera GSM located at 300 Hwy 22, Calera, AL, the employer did not assure that a reliable supply of drinking water was available for the crews assigned to field work.  Potable water should be provided in a sufficient quantity at the beginning of the work shift to provide adequate drinking water throughout the work shift.
