Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure;  a.  Adjacent to the Warehouse Managers desk, two extension cords were being used in lieu of permanent wiring, thereby exposing employees to a fire hazard.  b.  Next to the backlist station, there was an extension cord being used in lieu of permanent wiring, thereby exposing employees to a fire hazard.
