29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, were not protected by protective helmets.  Employees were not utilizing any type of head protection while conducting framing operations on a commercial building with multiple level roofs, exposing employees to overhead hazards from construction work above.  Violation observed on or about 8/18/15.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee(s) engaged in commercial construction on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):  Employee conducting framing operations approximately 20 feet from the ground below without utilizing any type of fall protection, exposing the employee to fall hazards.         Violation observed on or about 8/18/15.
