The stairway, which is less than 44 inches wide, enclosed at the top on both sides, but open at the bottom, did not have a stair rail on the enclosed area, on the right had descending. 29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) Storage room/toilet area - On or about 8/27/15, employees fill spray bottles with ProForce Lemon Fresh Disinfectant Cleaner (pH 12.4-13.4 - corrosive) on a semi-weekly basis; and, use diluted disinfectant on a daily basis. The concentrate is corrosive. The employer does not provide or require employees to use goggles/eye protection while pouring the disinfectant into bottles. protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that chousl be prevented by such equipment. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets. a.)
