29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) Jobsite at 1040 North Montello Street, Brockton: Employer did not provide effective information and training to employees who engage in operations where hazardous materials are used. On or about September 8, 2015, two employees were applying flammable contact adhesive to a metal panel from a 5-gallon bucket when the vapors ignited causing first to third degree burns on one of the employees. Employees were unaware of the physical hazards of the adhesive and measures employees could have taken to protect themselves.
