29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Location: Powder Coating Room, 126 Bailey Road, North Haven, CT 06473 The employer did not administered a continuing and effective hearing conservation program when employees were exposed to sound levels of 85 decibels or above measured on the A scale. 1. A powder coating room operator was exposed to continuous noise at 86.3% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 80 dBA or an equivalent sound level of approximately 88.93 dBA during the 339 minute sampling period on October 21, 2015; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 141 minutes not sampled. 2. A powder coating room operator was exposed to continuous noise at 74.5% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 80 dBA or an equivalent sound level of approximately 87.88 dBA during the 344 minute sampling period on October 21, 2015; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 136 minutes not sampled
