29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:   (a) On or about October 14, 2015, and at times prior, Bestway Recycling, Inc. did not ensure that compressed air used for cleaning purposes was reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.. Compressed air nozzles in the plant were observed with tips that allowed air pressures of up to 108 p.s.i., exposing employees to air injection hazards.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i): Work space was less than 30 inches wide in front of electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less:  (a) On or about October 14, 2015, and at times prior, Bestway Recycling, Inc. did not ensure that work space in front of electric equipment was more than 30 inches. Access to electrical panels operating at 600V or less were observed blocked by a loader bucket and waste containers.  Abatement note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords were not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap:  (a) On or about October 14, 2015, and at times prior, Bestway Recycling, Inc. did not ensure that flexible cords were used in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Employees were exposed to contact with electrical hazards in that a flexible cord set, charging a scissor lift battery, had been spliced approximately 2 feet from the plug.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
