29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   a) 4021 Behrman Hwy., New Orleans, LA; On or about October 22, 2015, the employer allowed an employee to paint the exterior of a building while standing on an awning not wearing fall protection or the edge protected by a guardrail system. The employee was approximately 14 feet above the ground.
