29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:    (a)  On or about 10/22/15 - Dry Chemical Area, the employees were exposed to contact with chemicals such as boric acid during weighing from 55 lb bags and packaging of smaller containers.  The employees were not required to utilize personal protective equipment such as aprons, coveralls, and safety glasses.      (b)  On or about 10/22/15 - Liquid Chemical Area, the employees were exposed to contact with corrosive acids such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, and sulfuric acid during repackaging from bulk containers to smaller containers.  The employees were not provided and required to utilize an acid splash suit.    (c)  On or about 10/22/15  - Liquid Chemical Area, the employees were exposed to contact with corrosive acids when labeling and packing 2.5 Liter glass bottles containing nitric acid.  Employees were not required to utilize safe work practices and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses to reduce potential contact.    (d)  On or about 03/08/16 - Liquid Chemical Area, employees troubleshooting a valve on a bulk tote of nitric acid did not utilize personal protective equipment such as goggles, a face shield, and acid splash suit.    (e)  On or about 03/08/16 - Packing Department, employees packing acid containers for shipping were not required to utilize personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves.
