(a) On or about November 19, 2015 at worksite 331 NW 96th BLDG B, Kansas City, Missouri.-employees were exposed to a fall hazard when performing framing activities at an elevation of approximately 31 feet without an approved form of fall protection, to include, guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Abatement Note: Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not assure that each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person in the use and operation of guardrail systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used. (a) On or about November 19, 2015 at worksite 331 96th St BLDG B, Kansas City, Missouri.- employees engaged in framing activities on a low-sloped roof with unprotected sides and edges were exposed to serious fall hazards, in that they had not been trained in the use and operation of required Fall Protection Systems. As result, employees were exposed to fall hazards up approximately 31 feet above the surface below. Abatement certification is required for this item. Use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
