29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  (a)  On December 8, 2015, at the jobsite located at 8300 Booth Ave, Kansas City, MO., a worker engaged in roofing construction activities was exposed to serious fall injuries, in that he was observed walking, and kneeling on an unprotected work surface approx. 23 feet above the ground. The worker was not using any Fall Protection Equipment to prevent a possible fall.    Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
