29 CFR 1926.451(b)(3): 29 CFR 1926.451(b)(3): The front edge of platforms were more than 14 inches (36 cm) from the face of the work where guardrail systems were not erected along the front edge and/or personal fall arrest systems were not used in accordance with paragraph (g) of this section to protect employees from falling: (a) On or about December 8, 2015 at a worksite 501 Grand, Kansas City, Missouri.- An employee was exposed to a fall hazard when working on a tubular framed supported scaffold at heights of 14 feet. The front edge of the tubular frame supported scaffold was positioned 22 inches from the face of the work where guardrail systems were not erected along the front edge and personal fall arrest systems were not used. Abatement Note: Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffold and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each workshift and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity: (a) On or about December 8, 2015 at a worksite 501 Grand, Kansas City, Missouri.- An employee was exposed to a fall hazard because a competent person did not inspect scaffold components for visible defects before each work shift, or after any occurrence which could affect the scaffolds structural integrity to include repositioning of working platforms, or movement of scaffold sections and components.. Abatement Note: Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
