29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment:  a) 2151 South Queen Street York, Pa 17402 - The employer did not assess the workplace to determine the proper personal protective equipment (ppe) when handling corrosive chemicals, thereby exposing employee to chemical burns on or about February 8, 2016.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:          a) 2151 South Queen Street, York, Pa - The employer has not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program that describes how they comply with this standard regarding labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training. This violation occurred on or about February 8, 2016 and at times prior thereto, when employees in the facility were required to handle hazardous chemicals before a written hazard communication program had been developed and implemented.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a) 2151 South Queen Street, York, Pa 17402 - The employer did not provide training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial hire and whenever a new hazard that that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area, thereby exposing employees to potential chemical injuries on or about February 8, 2016.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
