OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):   Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.   On 2/05/2016, employees from Oakridge Contractors, L.L.C. were working on a roof of a commercial building located at 656 Tree Farm Rd, New Florence, MO.  The owner was operating a Takeuchi skid loader, model TL230/serial #223100874, to lift an employee to facilitate the installation of drip edging on the roof.  The employee was standing in the bucket of the skid loader approximately ninety-three inches above the ground.    One method of abatement is to use portable ladders to stand on while installing the drip edging.
