29 CFR 1910.106(e)(9)(iii): Combustible waste material and residues in a building or unit operating area were not kept to a minimum, stored in covered metal receptacles and disposed of daily: a) On or about March 15, 2016, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards in that combustible oily rags were kept in a plastic bag rather than a covered metal receptacle and were not disposed of on a daily basis. b) On or about March 15, 2016, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards in that combustible oily rags were left on the floor of the pit area to collect leaking oil from the waste oil tank in pit 1 and a leak from the connecting hose in pit 5.
