29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     On or about April 7, 2016, and at times prior thereto, employees were allowed to operate machines that were found not having guards provided, including but not limited to the following instances:      1) Throughout the shop area, ten conveyor belt systems had in-going nip points without adequate guards provided.       2) Throughout the shop area, five stripping machines were not properly guarded to prevent employees from having hands or fingers entering the point-of-operation.       3) At the slitting machine area, a slitter being operated without guards provided on the sides to protect employees from contacting the blade while in operation.       4) At the corrugate machines area, two corrugate machines being operated without guards provided to prevent employees from having hands or fingers entering the point-of-operation.       Employees were exposed to caught in and crushing hazards.
