29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(i): Employer did not use either ground fault circuit interrupters as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(ii) of this section, or an assured equipment grounding conductor program as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(iii) of this section to protect employees on construction sites: (a) On or about April 13, 2016, and at times prior, White Swan Motel, LLC., did not ensure that ground fault circuit interrupters, or an assured equipment grounding conductor program was used to protect its employees at a renovation project. Employees were exposed to contact with electrical hazards, in that a 120V temporary wiring branch was connected directly to a utility service drop, without ground fault circuit interrupters, or an assured grounding conductor program. The ~250 feet-long temporary wiring branch did not originate on a power outlet or a panel board, and was not protected by over current devices.
