Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that; employees were exposed to crush and/or struck-by hazards from falling sections of a tree being cut by an employee in a raised bucket truck:  a)  For a ground crew member who was using a gas powered Stihl MS311 chainsaw to cut branches on the ground into smaller pieces for disposal of a tree being felled at 793 Fremont St. Ft. Myers (FL).  The ground crew employee entered into the drop zone area during the limb cutting process as the partially cut limb broke off and struck the employee, on or about 05/11/2016.

Myers (FL), employees were not provided ppe such as but not limited to; face shields and leg protection while using STIHL MS133 chainsaws when performing trimming and tree felling operations, on or about 05/11/2016.
