OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by polyvinyl chloride pipe fragmentation:  a. On or about May 18, 2016, employees working and walking through the west half of the shop area, were exposed to the hazard of being struck by flying shards of polyvinyl chloride piping, in that the compressed air (160 p.s.i.) was passed through polyvinyl chloride piping from the air compressor to the air hose connections.
