29 CFR 1926.55(b): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not implemented to reduce employee exposures: Basement, 8 Beresford Road, Brookline, MA: On 5-26-16 administrative and /or engineering controls were not implemented to reduce airborne concentrations of carbon monoxide below the threshold value of 50 ppm, while a worker was operating a gasoline powered concrete trowel. Controls may include but are not limited to: 1. Use of local ventilation to exhaust and/or push in fresh air into the confined basement. 2. Use of a carbon monoxide detector in the work space to ensure workers are warned when levels exceed 50 ppm. 3. Substitute gasoline powered equipment with electrically powered equipment.
