Employees engaged in construction activities for a Multifamily Housing project were not utilizing or provided proper eye and head protection; there-by exposing employees to head injuries and eye damage from falling debris.   CSHO observed violation on or about 6/04/2016.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(4)(ii): Each employee on a walking/working surface was not protected from tripping in or stepping into or through holes (including skylights) by covers:  Location: 234 Clifton Ave, Newark, NJ 07104  a.) Employees engaged in Multifamily Housing Construction were utilizing walkways and floor platforms that had open floor holes leading to the next lower level; there-by exposing employees to fall hazards  to the next lower levels and tripping hazards through the uncovered floor holes.  CSHO observed violation on or about 6/04/2016.
