29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, feasible administrative or engineering controls were not utilized: a. On or about July 19, 2016, the chop saw/up cut saw operator in the cut up building was exposed to continuous noise levels at 268% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or equivalent sound level of approximately 97.6 dBA during the 447 minute sampling period. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 33 minutes not sampled. b. On or about July 19, 2016 the sorter/stacker operator in the cut up building was exposed to continuous noise levels at 168.6% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or equivalent sound level of approximately 94.3 dBA during the 445 minute sampling period. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 35 minutes not sampled. c. On or about July 19, 2016, the woodpecker operator was exposed to continuous noise levels at 174.2% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or equivalent sound level of approximately 94.6 dBA, during the 444 minute sampling period. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 36 minutes not sampled. d. On or about July 19, 2016, the pallet nailer operator, across from the woodpecker, was exposed to continuous noise levels at 237% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or equivalent sound level of approximately 96.8 dBA, during the 442 minute sampling period. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 38 minutes not sampled. e. On or about July 19, 2016, the edger operator was exposed to continuous noise levels at 141.1% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) or equivalent sound level of approximately 93.1 dBA, during the 440 minute sampling period. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 40 minutes not sampled.
