29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a- 1715 Mount Ephraim Avenue, Camden NJ: Employees, not supplied nor using fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 15 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace, and other related activities from a commercial building's roof with a pitch of approximately 6 on 12. Condition observed on or about 06/23/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a- 1715 Mount Ephraim Avenue, Camden NJ: Employees, not supplied nor using fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 15 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace, and other related activities from a commercial building's roof with a pitch of approximately 6 on 12. These employees had not received fall hazard recognition or fall hazard minimization training from the company. Condition observed on or about 06/23/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
