29 CFR 1910.252(a)(3)(ii): All hollow spaces, cavities or containers were not vented to permit the escape of air or gases before preheating, cutting or welding:     a) On or about July 11, 2016, at the above located workplace, employees were required to use acetylene torches to cut hydraulic cylinders. The employer did not ensure that the hydraulic cylinders were vented and all pressure was relieved before employees began to torch cut the cylinders. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with explosions, fire and/or contact with hot burning oil.
