29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer failed to report the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, within (24) twenty-four hours.  On 12 April 2016, a framer was installing cornice on a residence under construction located at 6116 Mountain Villa Cove, Austin, TX using a pneumatic nail gun when a nail bounced off another nail and struck the worker near the left eye. The worker was transported by ambulance to the hospital emergency room, where he was admitted and treated. The employer failed to report the in-patient hospitalization of the injured worker due to the result of a work-related incident.
