29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer shall provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury.    a) LaMi Products, LLC, 2703 Cindel Drive, Cinnaminson, New Jersey, Warehouse, End of Manual Pick Line: At the end of the column, a fire extinguisher was block by the work station, and racking system on or about 8/8/2016.    b) LaMi Products, LLC, 2703 Cindel Drive, Cinnaminson, New Jersey, Work Station Next to the Johnson Air Rotation Unit:  Boxes were placed in front of the portable fire extinguisher blocking the access, on or about 8/8/2016.    NOTE:  THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.157(c)(4): The employer shall assure that portable fire extinguishers are maintained in a fully charged and operable condition and kept in their designated places at all times except during use.      a)  LaMi Products, LLC, 2703 Cindel Drive, Cinnaminson, New Jersey Warehouse, End of Manual Pick Line: At the end of the column there was a sign stating fire extinguisher with an arrow pointing down.  The fire extinguisher was missing from that area, on or about 8/8/2016.     NOTE:  THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1): An educational program was not provided for all employees to familiarize them with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting:    a) LaMi Products, LLC, 2703 Cindel Drive, Cinnaminson, New Jersey: Employees expected to use a portable fire extinguisher in the event of an incipient stage fire were not provided with training, on or about 8/8/2016.    BY THIS DATE THE EMPLOYER MUST EITHER CORRECT THE ALLEGED VIOLATION(S) OR IMPLEMENT A FIRE SAFETY POLICY, AS OUTLINED IN 29 CFR 1910.38 WHICH INCLUDES THE EVACUATION REQUIREMENTS OF 29 CFR 1910.157(b).    NOTE:  THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
