29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:    a- 10 8th Street, Barnegate Light NJ: Employees were exposed to struck by hazards when working beneath worksite employees, performing framing and other related activities, without the use of protective helmets.  Condition observed on or about 10/04/16.     NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided:    a- 10 8th Street, Barnegate Light NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below when performing framing and other related activities at and near the unprotected edges of the top floor of an unfinished residential structure. Condition observed on or about 10/04/16.     NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    a- 10 8th Street, Barnegate Light NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below when performing framing and other related activities at and near the unprotected edges of the top floor of an unfinished residential structure. At the time of the worksite inspection the company worksite employees had not received any fall hazard recognition training from the company.  Condition noted  or about 10/04/16.     NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM.
