29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) 30 S. George Street, Millersville PA; Gordinier Hall - An employee caulking louvers on the roof of the building was not protected from a 29 foot - 8 inch fall hazard to the ground below, on or about October 4, 2016. No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not train each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards to enable them to recognize fall hazards and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) 30 S. George Street, Millersville PA; Gordinier Hall - Employees were not trained in appropriate fall protection methods to avoid hazards associated with elevated work areas, on or about October 4, 2016. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
